This may be a so-last-year number, but I only gotten to know of its real existence when The Big Band covered it at Planet Hollywood few weeks ago. Let’s face it, I am never a fan of local Malay music except for a track or two. I can’t even name you a track by Siti Nurhaliza, our so called homegrown diva.
Peter Pan are not local, I believe they’re Indons. One of them many Indon bands made it big over here. It doesn’t really matter. Mungkin Nanti is a good track. A catchy tune and definitely a sing-along song, if you can speak Malay that is. I am currently listening to other tracks by them. Not a bad Malay-emo band. But they could do better with a different band name.
Now I have the sudden urge to listen to Isabella.

If you’re interested in Indon bands… check out stuff by Dewa and Sheila on 7. They’re the biggest bands around in the country, and after listening I could understand why. Veeeeerrrry good stuff. Totally different from our Scorpion-type Mat Rock bands who’s never moved out of the 80s.

Yep, agreed - definitely a nice song. We always sing it during karaoke sessions with my posse and everyone agrees, it’s a great song!
yeah, ‘Mungkin Nanti’ is a pretty cool song. Try their other song ‘Ada Apa Denganmu?’ which I think is better. But then, ‘Mungkin Nanti’ has a certain sentimental value to me, hahahahahha…
and I think they spell it as Peterpan instead; unlike the famous Peter Pan…

really shocked to find a few chinese boys liking indonesian bands.. but hey peterpan is damn good so its no wonder that u guys are hooked on them so fast. i suggest u buy their album.. its worth every penny.. trust me! i’d also recommend u to hear dewa and padi. dewa is the band who revived the indonesian rock scene.. listen to songs like “pupus”, “kosong”, and “roman picisan” ..this band is very polished..songs, outfit, etc..but if ur more inclined towards slow rock alternative numbers, then i’d suggest u to listen to sheila on 7.. yeah i know the name is kinda weird.. but they also have a very large fan base here.. one song u shouldnt miss –> ”berhenti berharap”

Hi, it’s nice to know that peterpan’s song is loved by so many different people from different background. I guess good music speaks all. I’m Indonesian but have been living abroad for quite some times. Everytime I miss Indonesia, I listen to my Peterpan’s CD. Never get bored of it. peterpan is one of Indonesia famous bands, we have alot,but people need to keep in mind that they are singing in “BAHASA INDONESIA” yes, it’s roots is the malay language, but it’s still very different.
