My call for kaki to go to Bangkok Rock Festival was unheard. So I guess that goes up to smoke. Besides, I checked the flight tix and it cost slightly out of my desired range. So, no go. Just sit me butt tight at home and sulk.
I was on a download frenzy yesterday night. I queued up about 20+ albums to download. I referred to Stereogum’s Top 20 Albums of 2005 for most of them that I didn’t already have. If you want a longer list, and a list of other lists, head over to Pitchfork’s.
Seeing Weezer’s We Are All on Drugs on the worst list is kinda… a good laugh. I just happen to like Weezer but that song can be irritating. But nevertheless, we are all on drugs, aren’t we? Listing Black Eyed Peas’ hump song and that lonely song by some black dude are a spot-on though. Local radio stations can be arses.
The year’s almost coming to an end, and we have an extra second added for it. Yes, scientists will actually stop the clock for a full second at midnight to re-adjust the earth clock or something like that. What can you do in a second? I can fart.
Happy New Year people. Keep rawking.

Considered Air Asia, mate?
Anyway, the tickets alone for the concert’s rougly RM 700.00 isn’t it? I’m all game to go but of course I’ll probably drag some of my friends there too.
Haven’t bought the tickets yet - perhaps there’s a way for me to get them in the black market if I leave this late.
Nice blog. Keep it up.
The concert ticket for 2 days, Zone A (right in front of the stage) is 5,000 Baht, which is exactly MYR461.205, according to http://www.xe.com/ucc. That’s the costliest tix available, which isn’t too bad considering you get Zone A and 2 full days.
I did a quick search on Air Asia the other day, KL to Bangkok round trip. The air tix comes roughly around MYR300.
That’s at least MYR700 for tickets, excluding taxes, accommodation and food. I don’t have that much :\
hey… actually the BKK concert tickets are quite ok…
too bad the free Air Asia tickets are gone.
But if you’re still up for Franz Ferdinand, they’re coming to Singapore first!

The most expensive ticket would be about MYR200. But travelling to SG would be slightly cheaper than Bangkok kwa.
SISTIC is already selling tickets.
Kings of Convenience are heading towards Singapore toooo….
It’s not fair KL doesn’t get gigs like these
i have no idea who you are. but you shld goto the rock fest.
try tigerairways.com
75% off dude.
Andy: Checked tigerairways.com. SG -> BKK -> SG = around MYR 160. No shit that’s cheap. But only depart from S’pore.
sweelin: Actually I’m more into Stereophonics from the BKK festival, and Placebo and Oasis. But F.Ferdinand doesn’t sound too bad does it? Hmmm, thanks for the info.
