I have a thing for female artists with guitar. They remind me of someone really special, so special that I feel myself simply not good enough. I rejoiced the moments when she picked up the guitar and played in front of me, even though I know inside her, she was playing for someone else. I was just an audience, a fan, a male groupie.

When I heard of this cover, I thought of her instantly. I imagined her playing it, putting on that beautiful sunshine smile she always has, strumming, singing, so adsorbed into what she enjoys; playing music.

But that’s all gone now. Just like the song title says, everbody’s changing. All I have left are memories to sleep on.

Everybody’s Changing
by Lily Allen
originally by Keane

You say you wander your own land
But when I think about it
I don’t see how you can

You’re aching, you’re breaking
And I can see the pain in your eyes
Says everybody’s changing
And I don’t know why

So little time
Try to understand that I’m
Trying to make a move just to stay in the game
I try to stay awake and remember my name
But everybody’s changing
And I don’t feel the same

You’re gone from here
Soon you will disappear
Fading into beautiful light
‘Cause everybody’s changing
And I don’t feel right

So little time
Try to understand that I’m
Trying to make a move just to stay in the game
I try to stay awake and remember my name
But everybody’s changing
And I don’t feel the same

So little time
Try to understand that I’m
Trying to make a move just to stay in the game
I try to stay awake and remember my name
But everybody’s changing
And I don’t feel the same

Everybody’s changing
And I don’t feel the same
